In the heart of the Médoc between Margaux to the south and Pauillac to the north, on the left bank of the Garonne, the Saint-Julien appellation of origin is one of the elite among the great appellations of the Bordeaux region. There are no less than 11 Grands Crus Classés 1855, which produce almost 80% of the total production of the appellation. The vines are planted on gently sloping terraces facing the river, mainly composed of alluvial gravel.
