OUR SOMELIER REVIEW
Pinot noir… such a marvelous and complicated grape but at the same time, all wineries want to make a pinot noir. Most fail and that’s because the goal is Bourgogne, and you cannot compare with Bourgogne!
After saying that, this Pinot Noir comes from a great area in Mendoza with cold climate, which helps maintain the freshness and delicate flavors of Pinot.
I found this wine very clean in the nose, with aromas of cranberry, red cherry, red plum, dry leaves, earth, tobacco and vanilla.
In the palate its super savory, you can feel your mouth water the moment you take the first sip, so light and fresh.
I recommend you chill this wine a bit, have some tapas, mushroom risotto, or roasted chicken with herbs. Or maybe just put on some music, grab a glass, and just chill!
CRITIC'S NOTES
Concentrated berry and plum aromas are potent. In the mouth, this blend of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cab Franc is massive but also abrasive and narrowing due to fierce tannins. Giant raspberry and blackberry flavors include chocolate and coffee notes. It settles on the finish but remains scratchy out the back door.
