WINE DESCRIPTORS

ABOUT THE WINERY: WILLOWBROOK
From the vineyard to the glass, winemaker Joe Otos’ meticulous craftsmanship is present. Working in some of California’s most prestigious winemaking regions provides unique opportunities to produce wines of stunning character – but it doesn’t come easily. Walking the vineyards throughout the year, Joe checks on the grapes’ progress and oversees their development, paying attention to such details as the vineyard’s watering schedule, the pruning of the vines and the timing of fertilizer additions. “Spending time in the vineyard, chatting with the vineyard managers and getting to know the soils are key parts of getting the best out of each site,” Joe says. “You can only maximize the potential of the grapes if you have been a part of how they were farmed.”

CRITIC'S NOTES
Come and dive in the Mediterranean ocean on a warm day! This wine is all you can expect from a perfect and relaxing day in the French riviera. Friendly, fun, full of flavor and refreshing. The bright acidity is very well balanced with the sweet flavors of the red cherries, plums and juicy apples, a hint of white roses and quince to complete this delicious wine.Even so, it is a light wine perfect for chilling in the balcony or at the pool. I was very surprised by the length in the palate, very food friendly can pair with varied dishes. Try salads, grilled fish, sushi, chicken or pizza! All pairs are perfect with this rose. Then take a bottle and just enjoy!

OUR SOMELIER REVIEW
Great value wine!
Bordeaux varieties rule Napa and Sonoma, but this little corner called Russian River is a punch to this. Here it's like little Burgundy and Pinot Noir is the king. The cold foggy weather makes the ideal condition for the slow ripening of Pinot.
Willowbrook Pinot Noir is a classic well made wine, simple, but don’t be confused, simplicity can be beautiful to find in a wine. The nose is clean with aromas of cherries, forest floor, red roses, fig, liquorice, walnuts, cedar and tobacco. The tannins are light, the flavors invade the palate with a fresh touch and the finish is silky.
Have this pinot with venison, pasta with mushrooms or a cheese plate with fig confit.
